Edge data centers are deployed close to end-users to minimize latency for applications like 5G, IoT, and real-time analytics. This project established 6 edge data center sites across Singapore, each requiring compact, reliable power distribution in tropical high-humidity conditions.

Quality & Testing
All units passed humidity cycling tests to verify performance in tropical conditions. Routine tests included winding resistance, turns ratio, no-load loss, load loss, and partial discharge measurements. Sound level testing confirmed ≤55 dB(A) for urban deployment.
Delivery & Installation
The 18 units were distributed across 6 edge sites, with 3 units per site for N+1 redundancy. HBTP provided installation support and training for the facilities management team operating multiple sites.
Project Outcomes
All 18 transformers were successfully energized and are operating at rated capacity. The project was completed on schedule, and the customer has reported excellent performance with no unplanned outages attributed to transformer equipment.
